The Pilates Barre Crawl stop #2 could also be called Birthday at the Barre, inspired by guest Barre Crawler Leslie’s birthday. We decided to start the day with a different kind of morning shake and booked a class at Frisco Barre3, where Leslie is already a member.

Located in Frisco Square, this studio is nestled among the shops and eateries directly across from Frisco’s beautiful City Hall and Public Library building. After class, you could walk your now wobbly legs a short distance to grab a coffee, a cupcake, and sit by the fountain in the Square’s well maintained green space to soak up on Vitamin D.
Walking into the studio, we were greeted with smiles by the owner, Tammy, and found cubbies for our belongings directly outside the classroom. All equipment provided again and no required footwear. Just before walking into class, we met the instructor Natasha, who happened to recognize Barre Crawler Christina from another gym. (We are learning just how small the world of Barre can be!) Prior to working on the ballet barre, we started class with a warm up in the center of the room set to the beat of music and worked our way through dynamic stretches, balance challenges, and arm work. High repetitions and continual movement kept a steady pace throughout class and exercises were designed to push one’s limits. Three words: Holy Buns Batman. The lunge and plie work at the barre was intense to the point it could have inspired Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off.”
Natasha was careful to monitor and correct form as needed with a friendly smile and encouraging word. With just the tiniest adjustment, she got us into our sweet spot, which could better be described as Painsville, USA. But no pain, no gain, right? We finished the workout on the floor with bridges and ab holds from hell followed by a welcomed stretch out.
We wobbled out of the studio and met owner, Tammy, who gave us a mini tour of the location. They have everything you need. Childcare, clean bathrooms, and a water bottle refill station with ice cold water…yes please.
If you’re looking to push your barre fitness to the next level, these classes will help to get you there. This is a workout that hurts the next day, the day after, and the day after that, but that booty will thank you for it. We will definitely be back.
